ID#: 5840 Aug 3-9 : Wrightwood : 53rd Annual Muslim Youth Camp

This week-long camp provides a unique experience of living in a Muslim community and natural setting. Families and campers of all ages are welcome. Each camper stays in a cabin group, ranging from upper elementary and junior high through college and post-graduate adult levels. Females and males of all ages stay in separate cabin areas. Five daily prayers & dua, classes, meals and activities are experienced in common by all.  Special features of MYC include great counselors, interactive classes and discussions, daily photo slide shows of activities taking place, theme dinners organized by boys and girls teams, lakeside picnic, sports, rock wall climbing, swimming, hiking, archery, and arts and crafts. Nightly campfire gatherings enable campers to share stories, poems, songs, nasheeds, jokes, and skits. Campers can earn award banners by demonstrating knowledge of prayers, Qur'an verses, and other achievements. MYC prides itself on being a welcoming environment for building friendship and community.
