Bayan faculty Rami Nashashibi (IMAN) will teach 1-day course for Muslim leaders.
This one-day seminar will be conducted by Dr. Rami Nashashibi, Executive Director of Inner-City Muslim Action Network (IMAN) in Chicago and visiting faculty at Bayan Claremont. The event will be hosted by the Islamic Society of Orange County (ISOC). Dr. Nashashibi will present content from the course he will be teaching at Bayan Claremont for graduate students, geared for application by community leaders.
All registered attendees who complete the entire seminar will receive a Certificate of Completion signed by the instructor.
Learning Objectives:
- Examine the role of community organizing in the history of American Islam.
- Explore and engage in social justice issues
- Experience ways to incorporate your personal spirituality into your community organizing framework
