Two years ago the Southern California Muslim-Jewish Forum was convened out of the work of the The Foundation For Ethnic Understanding-FFEU. They created an annual “Twinning” program to bring Muslims and Jews together in order to build relationship, understanding and harmony. Many synagogues, mosques and Muslim-Jewish organizations in So Calif. have participated over the years and we formed our Forum. 

This year our Twinning event will feature the offering of Two Faiths One Prayer*. Most likely you have seen their video that went viral. The program will give everyone a chance to participate in this profound experience.

We will open the program with a “Speed-Dating” exercise where everyone finds a partner to share their feelings on a given prompt; there will be three prompts given throughout the program. Musical offerings by Rabbi Neil Comess-Daniels, Ahmed Pierstroff, and Bassem Rashidi will reflect the sacred attunement of the shared prayer.
