Get an academic introduction to the Qur'an and Qur'anic stories, some of which overlap with those found in the Bible. Examine this holy book’s narrative style, and study commentaries related to the stories. Read and listen to some Qur'anic stories in each class session, including the stories of Maryam (Mary) and Musa (Moses), and then discuss with the class.
This is a one of a kind, brand new class from UC Berkeley Extension, and it is a great opportunity for students. Please note that enrolled students can get 1 unit of credit for Near Eastern Studies at UC Berkeley Extension.
